Ms. Wheelchair Virginia

Ms. Wheelchair Virginia works to eliminate the barriers that prevent people with disabilities from living a full and meaningful life. The barriers that exist are both architectural and attitudinal. She will educate the general public and bring awareness of these issues, while sharing the many achievements of people with disabilities across Virginia. During her year long reign, she will have the opportunity to travel throughout Virginia visiting elected officials, talking with individuals, and various community groups, making public appearances and conducting radio, print, and TV interviews. Her commitment and personal example serve to further the mission of Ms. Wheelchair Virginia.

Ms. Wheelchair Virginia needs to be a woman that uses a wheelchair for public mobility. She must be at least 21 years of age, a resident of Virginia and a United States citizen. She should be an advocate with good communication skills that can travel the state.
